Quick check against the four priorities we set Monday. Two big positives: order tracking now lives in one source of truth (the Procurement Tracker sheet), and #vendor-ops is catching vendor holds within minutes. Let's go priority by priority, then the open questions.

4 priorities
  • 1 · Fab request — mostly out. MQC-02 cards placed across TTM + backups (IEC, Sierra): compute/power PO booked at TTM, physics via-fix approved (rev A03), analog array re-approved, VC-blade invoice hold cleared (Lenore paid 7/27). Open: TTM PO 1011 (VC blade MQ2602-11103) sitting on a technical-query hold.
  • 2 · MQC-01 for test — real momentum. Heater temperature is now controlled from the STM32 (off manual) as of last night — a big step toward automated operation. Next: wire GUI packets to tune the PIDs. Gate: heater glitching / control-loop coupling; needs stability work + likely some on-site help.
  • 3 · 10 MHz adapter board — no movement. Nothing new this week; Curtis is fully loaded (VC-blade fab + assembly + clock). Connector was picked 7/17 (SAMTEC FTSH-107). Confirm an owner + start date today.
  • 4 · MQC-02 packaging — still exploratory. Bay Photonics (vacuum reflow vs. seam-seal — open), Master Bond epoxy ships Aug 11, Atomica cell on hold to Jul 31, FieldLine vapor cells slipped to ~Sept. Need a packaging-approach decision.

Did we answer Safra's flagged vendor questions? Partly. The photodetector / vapor-cell blade part-number mix-up is resolved — Wale corrected the labels with IEC (photodetector = MQ2602-10302, VC blade = MQ2602-11103). Still open: TTM's technical-query round on the VC blade (Issue #13 + array-data approval; they also need the PO#/tape number to locate the part) — waiting on us since Safra's out. Confirm the answers went back to Tushar / TTM.
  • Clock stabilitydecide how much PID-tuning effort we put in and whether we pull in on-site help; control-loop coupling is the real risk.
  • Shared-hardware coordinationwe had collisions on the same MQC-01 unit this week. One owner per unit + coordinate lab changes with Gaby & Newton.
  • Robbie's parting analysisMQC-02 likely must run away from the magic temperature; map stability vs. VCSEL temp to pick the operating point.
